Job description
Specialty: Breast Imaging
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule : Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Shift Length: 8.5 hours per day
No call
Hospital-based breast imaging department
High-volume diagnostic breast imaging with strong procedural mix
Heavy Breast MRI volume
Work Details
Patient Volume:
26–28 diagnostic patients per day
On procedure days: 6–8 breast procedures per day plus reading
Approx. 60–70 wRVUs on procedure days
Support Staff:
Medical Assistants assisting with procedures
Coordinators managing scheduling
2 mammography technologists per machine
Dedicated ultrasound technologist onsite for breast cases
Special Procedures / Skills Required
Breast MRI (required)
Diagnostic breast imaging
Breast procedures
Requirements
Board Certified – Required
Active state license – Required
IMLC may be considered if applicable
Active DEA – Required
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
Credentialing
Estimated timeframe: 60–90 days
