LocumTenens.com Honors Clinicians, Healthcare Organizations and Associates during National Locum Tenens Week
Annual celebration highlights the impact locum tenens clinicians have on the healthcare industry.
Alpharetta, Ga. August 11, 2021 —LocumTenens.com, the industry's most-visited job board and full-service locum tenens agency, is proud to announce it is participating in the 5th annual National Locum Tenens Week, a celebration of the contributions of locum tenens clinicians and an opportunity for locum tenens recruiters to share their stories, according to the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations ® (NALTO®). NALTO® is the only professional association of temporary physician staffing firms committed to a code of ethics and to maintaining the highest industry standards, and it facilitates the event each year. LocumTenens.com has been a member organization for over 15 years.
“This year,” says LocumTenens.com president Chris Franklin, “we’re celebrating our clients, who have continued to use our services both to ensure their facilities are adequately staffed to meet increased demand and as a way to provide much-needed burnout relief to their full-time staff. We’re celebrating our associates, who have continued to work tirelessly to get clinicians to facilities where their assistance is needed most. And most importantly, we’re celebrating our locum tenens clinicians, many of whom have worked within their own communities or traveled cross-country during one of the most grueling years for any healthcare provider.”
This year’s National Locum Tenens Week falls shortly after LocumTenens.com released its 2021 Physician and Advanced Practice Salary Report, which found 39% of clinicians are experiencing increased levels of stress and burnout due to the pandemic, with 63% of clinicians having taken or planning to take time off from practicing within the next few months. The locum tenens industry helps provide coverage for healthcare facilities when a clinician is out of practice, often due to paid time off or an extended leave of absence.
As part of its National Locum Tenens Week celebration, LocumTenens.com is sharing the stories of accomplished locum tenens clinicians who have made a significant impact on the lives of their patients, including those who provide care in correctional facilities, those who provide care via medical missions and more.
